A Unique Culture Trail in Cork City
Island City - Cork's Urban Sculpture Trail - is a unique cultural trail of five public artworks throughout Cork City centre for locals and visitors to enjoy.
The trail animates the city and illuminates our unique heritage in an arresting, intriguing and playful way. It is the most ambitious public art project in Cork City to date, and is the biggest ever single investment in public art here.
The temporary artworks, which will be in situ for the next five years, are located on Carey's Lane, the Exchange Building on Princes Street, Cook Street, Cornmarket Street and soon at Triskel Christchurch.
Island City, Cork’s Urban Sculpture Trail, is a Cork City Council project funded by Fáilte Ireland under the Urban Animation Scheme, with commissioning support by National Sculpture Factory.
