The front garden contains many layers of construction beneath the existing ground level. Below the ground tombs were constructed mainly of clay brick. A ramp was introduced to connect with the existing level at the front entrance. The south side of the space has been paved.
Architectural antiquities from Cork will be displayed against the walls that enclose the space. The more private garden to the North provides an outside extension to the internal exhibition space and may also provide space for antiquities. (Photographer: Kevin Dwyer).
