If you fail to comply with Cork City Council Bye-Laws or national regulations you may be issued with a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice (FCPN). These notices are issued by Traffic Wardens who are acting on behalf of Cork City Council.
If you are to be issued with a parking fine, a notice will be left on the windscreen of your vehicle. An FCPN will issue to you in the post shortly thereafter. You have 28 days to pay a fine after the date of issue of the FCPN. If you fail to pay in this initial period of time the fine will increase as outlined below.
No payment is acceptable after 56 days. The regulations provide that if the charge has not been paid within the 56 days, the offence is then the subject of criminal proceedings.
The Fixed Charge Penalty rates are as follows:-
