Applicants for a Residents Permit (new or renewal) are liable for parking charges (disc/Park by Phone) until the date of issue of permit, if parking in a disc parking area within the designated times.

Can I display more than one parking disc in one go on a vehicle

It's illegal to display more than one parking disc on a vehicle in one go. Valid parking disc should be displayed on a vehicle NOT more than one parking disc as per time limited in pay parking zone.

How do I pay a parking fine?

There are three options:

 

1. Log on to the parking payment system  and make the payment using your credit/debit card

 

2. Make a payment at the cash office at :

Cork City Council,

New Civic offices,

City Hall,

Cork

 

3. Send a cheque/postal order to:

Parking Fines in Douglas

There are four options:

1. By Telephone: 1890 253 350 (24 Hours), charge at low call rates. Credit/Debit Card- Visa, Mastercard and laser accepted. 

2. Pay Online at parking payment system

3. By post- personal cheque or postal order payable to Cork City Council, Parking Anglesea Street, Cork 

4. In person at the cash office:

Opening Hours: Monday- Friday 10:00-16:00

When sending a cheque/postal order, please write your car registration and the Notification number on the back of the cheque.

How do I appeal a parking fine?

Appeal Form:  Parking Fine Appeal Form

Appeals must be received on or before the 14th day from the date of issue of a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice. This date will be stated on the Fixed Charge Penalty Notice. If payment is not made in the first 28 days after Fixed Penalty Notice been issued than the cost increase by 50%.

What is 'Failure to display a current vehicle licence disc?'

'Failure to display a current vehicle licence disc’ refers to failing to display a valid tax disc on a vehicle.

How to apply for monthly parking in North Main Street car park

Contract parking is available in North Main Street car park. The charge is €120 per calendar month. Users must adhere to opening hours of the car park or a release charge will apply.

As a pedestrian can I use the bus in the Black Ash Park & Ride Car Park

Walk-in pedestrian may use the bus service in the Black Ash Ash Park & Ride facility between the hours of 07:00- 20.05 (last bus departures from St. Patrick's Street) 

The stops are as follows:

Eglinton Street (City Hall)
Merchant's Quay (Dunnes Stores)
St. Patrick's Street (Marks & Spencer)
St. Patrick's Street (Princes St. Junction/Game Stop)
Grand Parade (Casey's Furniture)
South Mall (VHI House)
Anglesea Street (Cork City Hall)

Cost: €2.40 (pay on the bus) city fare rates red zone , Leap cards can also be used. 

Where can I park a camper van in Cork City?

A campervan/motorhome may be parked in the Black Ash Park & Ride facility between the hours of 07:30 and 19:30. It is not permitted to leave ANY vehicle in the facility overnight. 

To access the facility, any vehicles above 2.1m must use the bus lane at the entrance.
