Come and join this FREE fun-filled day of youth music-making and creativity at Elizabeth Fort presented by Rhyme Island, GMC Beats, The Kabin Studio & Music Generation Cork City in partnership with Cork City Council
Featuring a wide range of workshops including rap & beats, song writing, traditional Irish music and more!
There will also be performances from Creative Tradition, Music Mash Up, Foróíge Link point Knocknaheeny, Mahon Youth Development Project, UBU, The Hut Youth Project CDYS, Mahon Community Pop Academy, Mahon Community Concert Band and Cork Academy of Music.
Watch out for a live performance of a brand new collaborative song & music video ‘Music Gives me a Reason’ ! Due to be released in June 2023, this song will be the sound of your summer!
Media Notice: There will be photos and video recorded at this event. Only material featuring subjects whose parents/guardians have provided consent via this form will be published. A 'media-free' area will be designated for those who do not wish to be recorded. A limited number of 'No Photo, No Video' stickers will also be available for attendees to wear.
Travel Notice: Walking, cycling and travelling by public transport to Elizabeth Fort is recommended. There is no parking available on site and space for drop offs is extremely limited. You are advised to refer to traffic updates in the city centre if travelling by car. You are also kindly asked to be aware of the need for local access by residents and to respect resident-only parking zones.

From 1pm, drop ins are welcome to all music workshops by Music Generation Cork City on a first come, first served basis.
Drops in welcome anytime, both morning and afternoon, to view the performances and enjoy the atmosphere at Rock the Block in Elizabeth Fort.
