With almost 90 venues to choose from, it's hard to pick your trail on Culture Night.
Here are some key events you won't want to miss, and below that is a list of events that require booking - so act fast to secure your place:
Cork City Council and The Good Room present Magic Nights by the Lee at Cork City Hall, a very special late-night free event bringing together some of Cork’s most legendary artists with some of the freshest sounds by contemporary musicians from Cork City and County. Funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and Cork City Council, this extraordinary audio-visual feast will celebrate the history and culture of Leeside music and arts.

Stevie G presents Minnie Marley, Kestine, Yesunia, Salamay & King koko
Stevie G with Minnie Marley and Kestine will bring some Hip Hop and urban flavours to the proceedings showcasing two of Cork’s freshest rising stars. For the last 30 years Stevie has been at the forefront of the Cork club and radio scene with his Black on Red show on Redfm celebrating 20 years this year.
John Spillane & Doireann Ní Ghríofa with special guests
John Spillane, Cork’s finest troubadour has teamed up with poet and novelist extraordinaire Doireann Ní Ghríofa for a special show exclusively for culture night having created new collaborations specifically for this event.
Brian Deady, the Skibbereen soul singer, joins the show with alternate versions of some of his biggest hits whilst unleashing new creations on the night.
Fish Go Deep with Conal Creedon
FishGoDeep are joined by Conal Creedon for a composition that was commissioned for Magic Nights by The Lee in 2021 as they showcase music from their own back catalogue of productions and tracks that they have created over the last 25 years.

9pm - 12am
To celebrate the launch of Ardú 2022, artists and organisers will take small groups on a walking tour of a selection of the murals we have produced in the city. The tours will explore the street art that has been painted in Cork over the last two years as well as seeing some artwork being painted as part of the 2022 initiative.
Details of the starting point will be emailed to those booked in advance of the tour. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time so we can take contact details from you all. The tour should take no longer than 90 minutes.
Please note this event is outdoors and will go ahead in inclement weather. All patrons are asked to dress

Cara O’ Sullivan Associate Artist Programme Lecture-Recital Series
Puccini & Verdi with Rachel Croash
Cork Opera House presents the first of a three-part Lecture- Recital Series with the Cara O’ Sullivan Associate Artists for Culture Night 2022.
Curated and performed by Dublin soprano Rachel Croash, this 40-minute aria recital captures the wonders and woes of the Leading Ladies of Puccini and Verdi.
Joined by pianist Ciara Moroney, Rachel performs and discusses some of the most captivating arias from the post-Romantic operatic tradition including repertoire from Madama Butterfly, Gianni Schicchi, La Bohème and Otello.
Join us in the Cork Opera House Foyer for music, insight and a post-recital cup of tea with the artist for Culture Night 2022.

Puppet Tours - 5pm & 7pm
Puppets will take on the role of tour guides, showing Children around the gallery. Exploring the Meat and Potatoes exhibition, the puppets will talk about some of the artworks, engage the children with stories and create an interactive fun experience for all. Each tour is 30 mins. Suitable for children aged 6+.

Poetry Book Launch
A special event in our Conference Space, the launch of Depositions, a book of poetry by Anton Floyd addressing the theme of the refugee crisis and population displacement, with translations of selections into 20 languages. This includes readings, a film and a welcome from the UNHCR and music from The Lost Gecko, Gavin Loesberg and Orla Smith-Loesberg, Kiruu (please note this is not a drop in event, if you wish to attend you need to arrive for 7 and stay until 8.30pm)
