Cork Mini Boat Adventure sets sail

Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Joe Kavanagh took the helm for the launch of the Cork Mini Boat Atlantic Adventure at Blackrock Pier. The mini boat has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean from Charleston, South Carolina, USA and arrived in Cork. We need your help designing the boat for the return journey across the Atlantic Ocean. To prepare for the adventure home Old Cork Waterworks Experience, Cork City Council and Creative Ireland are inviting Cork primary school children to submit designs inspired by Cork and its special relationship with the ocean. The designs will be used to create a collage which will be placed on the boat. The artwork will also be converted into a virtual exhibition and feature in a mini boat pocketbook to mark the project.
