Doing Business with Cork City Council

Cork City Council buys goods, services and contracts work across a wide range of categories which include but are not limited to:

For Goods and Services contracts above €25,000 and works contracts above €50,000, Cork City Council advertises tender competitions on etenders. Suppliers can register on etenders and then register interest in particular categories. Suppliers will then get notified of relevant tender opportunities. Guidance is available on how to register on etenders.

Cork City Council directly invites suppliers for quotations for contracts below €25,000 for goods and Services and below €50,000 for works using the quick quote facility on etenders.

Please note that registering an interest here does not guarantee any quotation opportunities but it does make City Council buyers aware that your company is interested in quoting for opportunities.

Cork City Council also uses Frameworks for Goods and Services set up and is operated by the Office of Government Procurement where appropriate.

Cork City Council use Supplygov.ie to procure particular goods and services such as plant hire, minor building work and civil works for quotations and tender level spend.

Supplygov.ie (formerly LAQuotes.ie) is a procurement system which facilitates Local Authorities and other state agencies in procuring goods and services from Suppliers and Contractors. The website has been developed by the Local Government Operational Procurement Centre (LGOPC) to streamline the procurement process of contracting authorities in respect of the operation of local authority led Category Councils for Plant Hire and Minor Building & Civil Works.

The LGOPC is responsible for the sectorial categories of spend through the development, implementation and management of all elements of the Category Councils of Plant Hire and Minor Building & Civil Works as established by the Office of Government Procurement.

Suppliers can register their supplier details on the www.supplygov.ie.
