Victorian Website Launch

On the 4th September the Traders of the Victorian Quarter officially launched their website in ‘Vibes and Scribes’ on Bridge Street. Traders gathered together with members from the City Council , Local Enterprise Board and Cork Business Association to celebrate the website launch. Joan Lucy chair person, of the Victorian Quarter Traders, explained how the website is a shop window for the Victorian Quarter. The Traders hope to attract local, national and international visitors by using the site as a platform to promote the area, create awareness of upcoming events  and shoe case all our quarter has to offer. It is hoped that future investors and new businesses looking for an area in the city to set up shop may be enticed to this historic  area of the Cork City. It is a platform that the Traders can maintain and grow to benefit their area.

The Traders would like to thank the web designers ‘Hurrah Hurrah, The Cork City Local Enterprise Board for all their help and the practical grant and Cork City Council for their
continuing support. Finally, a thank you to Sarah Bennett and Marie Clarke for their work behind the scenes.

Although the website is in its infancy, it is a template to be utilised by the Traders. Joan asked for  content, news, info, events, photos from the Quarter Traders and their businesses.
This is an exciting time for the Victorian Quarter with a lot of events planned for the coming months. For more information please see www.victorianquarter.ie
