Standard voting provisions for first time voters 

If you want to register to vote for the first time, are aged 18 or over and living in Ireland, you can do so by visiting www.checktheregister.ie and selecting the Register Online link. You will need your PPSN and Eircode to apply online.

You can pre-register if aged 16 or 17 and you will be added to the register when you turn 18 - Register Online

Electoral Registration Form.pdf (size 724.5 KB) - You can also download a form and make a paper based application. You will need to have your form witnessed or certified if you have not provided a PPSN. 

Update procedure for existing voters 

If you are already registered to vote and would like to check or update your details you can do so by visiting www.checktheregister.ie and selecting the Confirm or Update online link.
