Notice is hereby given that Members of Cork City Council at its meeting held on Monday 13th December 2021 adopted the Cork City Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) Bye-Laws 2021 in relation to speed limits in Cork City. The adopted Bye-Laws will come into effect on the 1st of May 2022.

The adopted Bye-Laws will come into effect on the 25th of May 2020.

The Speed Limit Appeals Procedure is a process whereby a member of the public can object to and appeal an existing speed limit contained within a Local Authority’s current Special Speed Limit Bye-laws.
This procedure is intended to facilitate a legitimate query that a member of the public or interested party may have regarding a particular speed limit.
To submit an appeal within the Cork City Council boundary download the speed limit appeal form from https://www.speedlimits.ie/appeals
