The wreath laying ceremony inside City Hall at the bust of Tomás Mac Curtain took place on 20th March 2020, the centenary of Tomás Mac Curtain's assassination.
It was attended by then Lord Mayor Cllr. John Sheehan, Fionnuala Mac Curtain (grand-daughter of Tomás), Paul Moynihan, Director of Services, Corporate Affairs and International Relations and Alma Murnane, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs and International Relations. Norman O'Rourke, a lone piper, played a poignant rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann.
