The competition, now in its fourth year, is organised and run by the Dog Fouling Awareness Sub Committee of Council in conjunction with the Litter Management Section of Cork City Council.
This year’s overall winner is Dalton Caren, a fourth class pupil from St. Anthonys Boys National School in Ballinlough.

The standard of entries was extremely high again this year and Dalton’s entry was top of the class.

Dalton won a €100 gift voucher, a trophy and €500 for his school and Dalton's artwork has been made into Cork City Council’s official Anti Dog Fouling Posters for 2019.
The Dog Fouling Awareness Sub Committee, through public awareness campaigns, works to bring about behavioural and attitude change with dog owners’ responsibility to clean up after their dog being to the forefront.
Information stands will be held at Wilton Shopping Centre on Wednesday 10th April 2019 and in Blackpool Shopping Centre on Saturday 12th April next.
