Cork City Business Gets Chance to Shine at Ploughing 2024

A new small enterprise in Cork City will get a chance to exhibit its products to almost 300,000 people at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co. Laois next week (17th-19th September) as part of the Local Enterprise Village.

Dr. Sinead Mellett of Natural Vet Company will represent LEO Cork City in this year’s Local Enterprise Village, with support from her local LEO. Speaking ahead of the event, Dr. Mellett said: “LEO Cork City has been a pillar of support to me during my transition from veterinary practice to starting my own business, the Natural Vet Company. I am delighted to be part of the Local Enterprise Village this year and, for me, it is a momentous time as I will be launching my six natural pet supplements during the event. As a mother of two and after leaving full time practice to pursue my practice of veterinary herbalism, it was a gigantic leap but made feel all the more achievable through the constant support of my Local Enterprise Office in Cork City.”

The Local Enterprise Village, an initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, will house over 30 small businesses and will be located at the heart of this year’s National Ploughing Championships.

With some of the biggest companies in Ireland taking up residence at the Ploughing every year, the Local Enterprise Village continues to be a popular destination on the site for those looking to pick up something unique to bring home from some of the best small businesses in Ireland.

Some of the clients involved this year cover areas such a children’s clothing and games, agtech products, luxury bathing and skincare products, artisan food and drink producers, sustainable clothing and beauty products and range of innovative products from Ireland’s best small businesses.
