Notice is hereby given that Cork City Council pursuant to Section 199 of the Local Government Act 2001 and in accordance with Part 19 of the Local Government Act 2001 proposes to make new byelaws to regulate Street Performances within its functional area.
It is proposed to make provision in the byelaws for the imposition of a fixed payment of €75 in respect of a contravention of a byelaw as an alternative to prosecution, as provided for in Section 206 of the Local Government Act 2001.
The Draft Byelaws will be available for public inspection from Friday 6th October, 2023 until Friday 8th December, 2023 during normal opening hours at Cork City Hall, Cork City Libraries and online at www.corkcity.ie
A copy of the Byelaws will be given to any such person applying for it, free of charge.
Cork City Council will consider any submission made in relation to the Draft Street Performer Byelaws. Submissions can be made, in writing, before 5.00pm on Friday 8th December, 2023 to Waste Enforcement, Street Performer Section, Room 229, Cork City Hall, Cork or by email to streetperformer@corkcity.ie
All submissions must include the name and address of the person/organisation making the submission.
