Online Fraud and Cyber Activity Alert

Cork City Council’s Housing Directorate wishes to remind our customers and service users that they should always remain vigilant against online fraud and cyber activity.   

Remember, Cork City Council will never:

  • Request money for an allocation of a home if you are on the City Council’s housing support waiting list.
  • Send a payment request via a link in a text or email
  • Ask you to provide personal information such as your bank details, date of birth or PPSN via a link in a text of email

Please ensure you check any email purporting to be from Cork City Council to ensure that the email address is spelled correctly and ends in “@corkcity.ie”.    If you receive a suspicious email, do not respond or click on any links, and notify Cork City Council immediately on 021 492 4000.
