With the city and county painted red and pre-All Ireland excitement at fever levels, Cork City Council and Cork GAA are appealing to fans to use their ‘Rebels’ Fanzone’ tickets or pass on any they’re unlikely to use.
Over 15,000 tickets were snapped up earlier this week in an astounding 45 minutes for Sunday’s family friendly viewing event at Super Valu Pairc Uí Chaoimh.
An electric atmosphere is promised as the ‘Rebels Fanzone’ has quickly become THE place for fans to savour the Cork v. Clare All Ireland final beyond Croke Park itself.
Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Dan Boyle said: “ We are appealing to those who secured tickets to use them so we have the best possible atmosphere at the stadium. If you, your family or friends can't attend, people can cancel one or multiple tickets via their Eventmaster link. Every returned tickets gives an opportunity to another Cork fan to cheer on the team!”.
Those attending please note:
The match will be shown on a massive 9 metre by 5.8 metre LED wall, located at the city end of the stadium.
Cork’s RedFM will be on hand to help build up the atmosphere ahead of the game, and there will be multiple food and drink concessions available on site.
