The millionth trip milestone was reached recently by Coke Zero Bikes in Cork. Ever since the rollout of the distinctive red and black bikes in the city, they have been a phenomenal success and Corkonians have really taken to the bikes, helped along by improved cycle facilities in many parts of the city.
Usage of the bikes in Cork far surpasses the total use in Limerick and Galway combined.
The millionth tripper is John Lehane who will receive a prize of his very own shiny new bike.
Christmas is also coming early to three further lucky winners who also won a bike each.
