In recent days, it has been reported that there has been fraudulent activity relating to QR Code stickers appearing on some of parking meters, particularly in the Dublin area. These QR Code stickers are not genuine and redirect customers to a fake website.
We wish to make our customers aware that Cork City Council does NOT use QR Code stickers to take payment for any of its parking facilities either when parking on a public road or in one of our car parks or Park & Ride.
Revised on-street parking charges came into effect on July 1st 2022. Parkers have the option to pay the charge of €2.50 by displaying a valid parking disc or via Cork City Park by Phone app or website.
To pay for parking in North Main Street and Paul Street car parks, please take a ticket on entry. Payment can be made at any of the pay stations on all levels of the car park. At the Black Ash Park & Ride, please take a ticket on entry to the facility, payment can be made at one of the pay stations in the depot either on entry or exit.

Parkers have the option to pay the charge of €2.50 by displaying a valid parking disc.
You can pay for parking on-street by purchasing a parking disc. On arrival fully scratch off appropriate panels (a pinhole dot will not suffice) and ensure the disc is clearly displayed.
Attach the distinctly scratched disc to the inside of the vehicle (e.g. hang over side window nearest kerb) so that it can be easily read and fully visible from outside the vehicle. The maximum parking time allowed is shown on the information plates on the signposts.
Shops, restaurants and cafes within the city centre and in the surrounding areas sell parking discs.
Please see Parking Disc Retailer Locations .
