Cork City Council has defined salting routes which prioritise main traffic routes, bus routes and other areas such as those adjacent to hospitals and schools for winter maintenance season which runs from mid October to mid April.
Cork City Council makes Salt available to community groups and resident associations to treat problematic areas. The Application can be found here
Bridges are also salted especially in the City Centre in areas of greatest pedestrian movement. The following are the salting routes:
