The Alternative Bread Company was established in 1997 by Sheila Fitzpatrick and over the years all of her five children, and numerous nieces and nephews have worked in the stall. They sell a large range of handmade bread and baked goods, including a range of 100% organic sourdoughs, traditional Irish soda bread, syrian flatbread and a wide variety of gluten free, wheat free, dairy free and sugar free products. The Alternative Bread Company prides itself on offering the largest range of handmade bread in Ireland and have always led the way in innovation. Sheila’s products have won many awards over the years and The Alternative Bread Company also won the Friendliest Business in Ireland in 2012. This is no surprise as Sheila has regular customers who have become like family as they have been shopping with her since she first opened.
