Explore the Natural and Historical Wonders of Glen River Park: A Guided Walk and Creative Mapping Workshop
Enjoy an enriching guided walk led by Gerard O’Brien whose family lived in the Glen when working for Gouldings Chemicals. Gerard is author of ‘Faeries, Felons and Fine Gentlemen: History of the Glen, Cork 1700 to 1980’ and will lead a spoken excavation of the park, offering a unique perspective on its historical importance and natural wonders. The second half of the event will be led by Spoon and Bloom, where people will come together and collectively map their journey through the park, piecing together the past with the present and designing our own individual visions for the future of the Glen River Park.
