Cork Jewish Heritage Virtual Tour by Ruti Lachs

The Cork Jewish Culture Virtual Walk explores some of the history and culture of the Cork Jewish community. The project is produced and presented by local musician, Ruti Lachs. The Virtual Walk focuses on seven Jewish sites in the city, with stories, poems, history, songs, and music from members of the Cork Jewish communities, past and present. www.rutilachs.ie

Shandon Urban Orienteering Heritage Route

For Heritage Week, Cork City Council Conservation Office announced a new initiative to develop a permanent orienteering route through the Architectural Conservation Area of Shandon. The project combines creativity, activity and heritage all in one. The first phase involves a competition to select 5 drawings that will be permanently on display at orienteer checkpoints in the Shandon Area.
