The scent of freshly brewed coffee will be in the air at Cork City Hall on Thursday 26th September as Lady Mayoress of Cork, Saoirse Hurley, hosts the Lady Mayoress’ Coffee Morning in aid of Marymount University Hospital & Hospice which will take place in Cork City Council Chambers.
The Coffee Morning raises essential funds for Marymount and this support helps to continue delivering specialist palliative care across the city. This year, the raffle on the day will help raise money for the Rainbow Club Cork, a vital support centre for young people with Autism in Cork.
Businesses and groups across the city are generously offering cakes, scones, coffee, vouchers and their time for this worthwhile event. The Lady Mayoress stated yesterday that: "It is an honour to be able to support Marymount University Hospital and Hospice. There has been help from so many kind volunteers and I wish to thank all the performers and donors, as well as Cork City Council, who are coming together to make this Lady Mayoress’ Coffee Morning such a special event. If you are around on the morning of the 26th September, be sure to join us at Cork City Hall!." For any businesses looking to come onboard to help, donations of cakes, scones, pastries, and such are still being accepted. To get involved, call 021 4924364.
The Lady Mayoress’ Coffee Morning will be hosted in Council Chambers from 10am to 12 pm on September 26th, 2024. Entry is free, with donations encouraged, and the event can be accessed from Anglesea Street. Proceeds from sales go to Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. There will be a raffle held also, with proceeds going to the Rainbow Club Cork. Thanks to all volunteers, donors and performers for making this event happen!
