One Night For All

An estimated 60,000 people gathered in the city centre to watch a record 3,600 people take part in what was the city’s largest ever St Patrick’s Day parade. Organised by Cork City Council, the parade was the highlight of the Cork St Patrick’s Festival, which began last Friday to celebrate Irish music, culture and heritage

Organised by Cork City Council, the Cork St. Patrick’s Festival, which begins this Friday, is a fantastic five-day celebration of Irish music, culture and heritage. The festival which takes place all over Cork City will feature concerts, céilí dancing, music trails, traditional Irish music performances, family events and the much-loved St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Fergal Dennehy and the Lady Mayoress were joined by several city councillors on Monday afternoon to encourage people to support this year’s Daffodil Day campaign.

Following on from the successful tree giveaways held in 2024 and 2025, Cork City Council will again distribute 5,000 free native trees this year as part of National Tree Week.

Cork City Council is using the docklands - one of Ireland’s largest urban regeneration projects - to show how Ireland’s cities can grow in ways that work with nature, not against it.
