Committed to sustainability and a 'zero-waste ethos' Orla will be using a range of fresh, local ingredients from the stalls of the renowned English Market to create seasonal tasting and sharing plates - perfect for summer gatherings.

The Met x Maharani Afternoon Tea

The Met and Rebel City Distillery come together for a delicious fusion Of Cork and Kerala for this special Afternoon Tea, blending local flavours with Indian botanicals. A Wild Walk and Garden Tasting

2.00pm - 5.00pm, Thursday 14th August, Fitzgerald Park & Proby's Kitchen

A unique evening that blends nature, nourishment, and community. The afternoon will begin with a gentle walk through Fitzgerald’s Park led by fermenter, forager and gardener Chloe Dempsey @fermentforagegrow, who will guide guests in identifying edible and medicinal plants. Then return to Probys Kitchen garden for a water kefir demonstration, talk, and a nourishing tasting of foraged foods. Guests will also receive their own kefir to take home for a second ferment. Farmgate Café’s head chef Pamela Kelly invites two rising stars of Cork’s culinary scene, Joe Quane and Stephen Cronin, to cook supper in the English Market. Joe and Stephen studied Culinary Arts at MTU, forming a friendship rooted in a shared passion for food and creative exploration. Joe began his culinary journey at the Farmgate Café six years ago and has since worked under acclaimed chefs Ross Lewis and Niall Davidson. He is now making his mark at Alta. Stephen was the Taste the Atlantic Young Chef Ambassador in 2022 and is currently working with Dan Geurin at the award winning Cush in Midleton. This intimate evening will celebrate friendship, the flavours of the English Market and the next generation of Cork culinary talent.
