Future of Food Breakfast Selection of Vegetables

The very first event of this year's Cork on a Fork Fest will focus on the business of food, in partnership with the Irish Examiner and Musgrave. Hear first-hand insights from businesses on challenges and opportunities, MC'd by the Irish Examiner senior food writer Joe McNamee. You’ll also enjoy a delicious breakfast filled with local produce and receive a goody bag to take home.
Open to businesses or individuals involved in Cork's food industry.

Cork Food History Guided Tour

Cork Food History Guided Tour The Olive Stand in the English market

10.00am-12noon, Wednesday 13th August, Cork City Centre

A walking history tour of the city centre with food tastings along the way. Visit the English Market and Butter Museum with stops to sample various foods and chat. Learn about Cork’s food and drink history dating back to Viking times.

Cork Culinary Tour

11am-2pm, Wednesday 13th August, Cork City Centre

A tour of storytelling, Irish culture, food and drink. Wander through the English Market and enjoy the very best the city has to offer. Includes tastings of local award-winning cheese, mouthwatering seafood fresh from the Atlantic, handmade Irish bread, gourmet country sausages, and more. The tour finishes in a relaxed gastro pub where guests can enjoy a sharing platter and a creamy pint of a local beverage of choice.

Taste the Goodness Community Garden Party

Join NICHE Health Project at Knocknaheeny Community Garden for a special open garden party. Open to everyone, you'll enjoy freshly baked cob oven pizza and refreshing drinks. Plus, enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful garden and some music. A perfect family outing!

The Met x Maharani Afternoon Tea

1-4pm, Wednesday 13th August, The Met, Metropole Hotel

The Met and Rebel City Distillery come together for a delicious fusion Of Cork and Kerala for this special Afternoon Tea, blending local flavours with Indian botanicals. Guests will be welcomed with a refreshing Maharani Gin & Tonic, followed by a Summer Berry Afternoon Tea inspired by the bold flavours of Maharani Gin—crafted in Cork using botanicals from a women’s co-op in Kerala. Sweet and savoury treats will be served with tea and coffee in the elegant Tea Room at The Metropole.

Botanics & Bites at Bloom

Indulge in a carefully crafted botanical cocktail and a sharing board featuring a selection of produce from leading local suppliers for two in Hayfield Hotel's garden venue Bloom. This offer is available daily throughout the duration of the festival.

Summer Tapas on the Terrace

Guests will enjoy a signature Midleton Whiskey cocktail paired with a locally-sourced tapas plate on the terrace for €35. To enhance the experience guests can also opt for a Midleton Whiskey tasting board or indulge in a whiskey-inspired dessert—crafted with care and Cork flavour.

This spectacular dining experience will see 450 guests dine outdoors at a shared table on MacCurtain Street. The chef collaboration between 20+ businesses celebrates the vibrant flavours of the VQ area – with The Glass Curtain, The Metropole Hotel, Greenes, Isaacs Restaurant, Da Mirco, Gallaghers, Paladar, Eco Fish, The Dean, Cask, The Address, Thompson's, Moxy Cork, The Shelbourne Bar, Gabriel House, Son of a Bun, and Crust.

Enjoy a Maharini Gin and Birra Moretti drinks reception, sharing plates, wine by MacCurtain Wine Cellar, a West Cork Whiskey. Sponsored by Birra Moretti, with support from TS Events and Clonakilty Blackpudding.
