Lord Mayor Presents Cheques to Beneficiaries of 2024 Gala Christmas Concert

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Dan Boyle presented the beneficiaries of the 2024 Lord Mayor’s Gala Christmas Concert with their cheques in City Hall on Tuesday 18 February.

The Gala Concert, which took place in City Hall on 17 December 2024, raised a total of €24,000 which was distributed equally among Cork Penny Dinners, Balance Summer Camp and Inclusive Dance Cork, all of which were chosen by the Lord Mayor.

Speaking at the cheque presentation, the Lord Mayor expressed his delight at presenting the proceeds of the Christmas Concert: “The 2024 Gala Christmas Concert was a wonderful occasion and I am thrilled to present its proceeds to these remarkable organizations who carry out incredible work in our city. I’d like to thank the people of Cork for their unwavering support of the concert each year, all of our patron and corporate sponsors and our fantastic team of volunteers”.

Representatives from Cork Penny Dinners, Balance Summer Camp, and Inclusive Dance Cork were all in attendance at the cheque presentation. They spoke of their gratitude at receipt of the cheques and outlined the significant impacts the funds will make on their services.
