MathsWorks heading to Mallow Primary Science and Maths Fair
Come and meet our primary science and maths team at Mallow on Sunday 14th October
Growing year on year, Mallow Development Partnership is now hosting the eighth annual Munster Maths and Science Family Fair on Sunday 14th October, from 11.30am to 4.30pm in the fantastic Mallow GAA Complex in Carrigoon.
Approaching 5000 attendees in 2017, this huge S.T.E.M. fair is now well established as a beacon event for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (S.T.E.M.) and an extension of the Mallow Maths & Science Schools Initiative to learn about S.T.E.M. and to create awareness of how it envelops our daily lives.
Thirteen schools from the Mallow, Buttevant and Doneraile areas will once again be showcasing their projects alongside the professionals and giants, some of which include the ever-popular Physics Busking group, Blackrock Castle Observatory, Blizzard Entertainment, the Maths Week crew, C.I.T., and U.C.C., together with local icons such as Dairygold, Kostal, EPS Group, and Hobart / AV Pound to name but a few.
The fair is geared towards all ages and attendees will enjoy a wide range of fun & interactive exhibits and demonstrations. It also provides a valuable opportunity to discuss with the professionals their careers working as an engineer, scientist, researcher, etc. as well as their paths to achieve their professions.
Enjoy and test 3-D exhibits, surround yourself with stars in the Planetarium Dome, solve riddles, test your gaming skills, unlock giant puzzles, create musical straws, windmills, rockets, and have lots of fun with so many more hands-on science experiments and demonstrations.
The event runs from 11.30-16.30 and admission is free.
