Getting to Fitzgerald Park for Cork Carnival of Science
For the comfort and enjoyment of all attending Cork Carnival of Science please note no parking will be available in the vicinity of Fitzgerald Park for the duration of the event. Vehicle access to Mardyke Walk will be restricted to residential and emergency vehicles only with a one way system in place from 10.00am to 6.00pm on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of June.
Please allow ample time when traveling to Cork Carnival of Science and consider alternative modes of transport.
Bus Routes:
- Traveling from Carrigaline and Ballincollig Route 220
- Traveling from Cork City Centre and Bishopstown Route 208
- Traveling from Cork City Centre and Curraheen Route 205 (via College Road)
Bicycle:
A large number of bicycle racks are available for use at Fitzgerald Park for your convenience. In addition TFI Bikes operate a number of bike stations in close proximity to Fitzgerald Park. As a new addition for 2024, a secure bicycle parking facility will be in operation adjacent to the Lord Mayor's Pavilion inside the main entrance to Fitzgerald Park. .
Parking:
Pay Parking is available at the Sacred Heart Church and Victoria Cross (next to Kingsley Hotel) car parks. Both car parks are less than a 5 minute walk to Fitzgerald Park.
