2023 Community Support Fund Launched

Cork City Local Community Development Committee and Cork City Council launches Community Support Fund (CSF) 2023 under the Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) and the Cork City Council Community Associations Capital Grant and Small-Scale Programme Grant 2023
Cork City Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) and Cork City Council wishes to invite applications for the Community Support Fund (CSF) 2023) and the Cork City Council Community Associations Capital Grant and Small-Scale Programme Grant 2023.
The Community Support Fund (CSF) is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. The Community Support Fund will support groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas:
- With their non-pay running costs such as energy costs (electricity costs, refuse charges, heating charges) or other non-pay operating costs for e.g. rental/lease costs, insurance bills.
- Groups will also be able to use the funding to carry out necessary repairs and improvements of a capital nature to their facilities and/or purchase equipment for e.g. tables and chairs, tools and signage, laptops and printers, lawnmowers, canopies and training equipment etc.
The Community Fund Women’s Sheds (CSFWS) is a small scale grant to provide funding towards the operation and running costs of women scheds e.g. electric/heating/insurance.
Community Associations Capital Grant is for Community Associations across Cork City for works of a capital or building maintenance nature.
Cork City Council Small Scale Programme Grant 2023 is for Community Groups in the Cork City area. and is for, once off, small scale programme activities, excluding arts and sports activities.
Please note that while there are two separate Capital Grants outlined, applicants are only eligible to apply for one capital funding stream.
Chief Officer of the Cork City LCDC, Adrienne Rodgers, welcomed the 2023 Community Support Fund and the Cork City Council grant funds:
“Cork City Council welcomes this round of funding for community projects across our city. The funding, both from national and local government, is aimed at grassroots projects who deliver a vast range of important and quality services and supports locally. These grants will provide much-needed additional funding to communities, especially in disadvantaged areas”.
