Cork St. Patrick's Day Parade – 17 March Patrick’s Street (Free)
Celebrating 2025 as the UN International Year of Co-operatives, the Cork St. Patrick's Day Parade 2025 has chosen “Building A Better World” as its theme for this year.
A vibrant and colourful display, Cork's parade features communities from all walks of life across the city - from sporting groups to dance schools, new communities, long-established brass bands, and special guests from around the world.
The parade will begin at 1pm and will run until 3pm through the following route,
South Mall > Grand Parade > St. Patrick’s Street > Merchant’s Quay
The Parade can also be viewed remotely through a livestream from 12:45pm on www.corkcity.ie/tv.

Afternoon Céilí Mór – 16 March City Hall (Free but ticketed)
City Hall is hosting a free (but ticketed) An Céilí Mór to celebrate St. Patrick’s Festival in Cork.
Presented by Cork Folk Festival, An Céilí Mór will bring the best of traditional Irish music from experienced players, with names soon to be announced.
Attendees of all levels are invited to experience the thrill of Irish dancing and enjoy dancing to the Sliabh Luachra, Ballyvourney Jig, Merchant and Connemara sets, the Siege of Ennis, the Walls of Limerick, Peeler and the Goat, the Highland Fling and Haymakers Jig.
Dancers will be guided through each dance with the help of experienced dancers on the floor. The caller for the afternoon Céilí Mór is dance teacher William (Hammy) Hammon.

Cork International Film Festival St. Patrick's Festival – 15 – 18 March Online (Free)
In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, CIFF is showcasing Irish filmmaking talent through a free online programme featuring a selection of Irish and Cork short films from the latest festival in November last year.
Enthusiasts of Irish culture from across the country are invited to indulge in a complimentary collection of cinematic delights, accessible at no cost on the Digital Festival Platform from 10am on Friday March 15, until midnight on Monday, March 18.
This programme, where each film will be introduced by the director, showcases a breadth of filmmaking talent, ranging from playful to experimental. There are films directly exploring creativity, from Traveller children living in the Knocknaheeny and Farranree areas to international dancers exploring movement on the banks of the Lee, along with an exciting variety of fiction work featuring surreal meditations on prawns, an award-winning father-son misadventure, and explorations into our heritage.

Elizabeth Fort will be hosting a family friendly St. Patrick’s Snake Hunt during the St. Patricks Day weekend. Special maps will be provided, and guests are encouraged to embark on a self-guided hunt to explore the Fort to find all of the hidden snakes.
