Local Enterprise Week 2023 Launched

On Monday, March 6th, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney paid a visit to the UCC Business Education Centre on Lapps Quay to launch the Local Enterprise Office Cork City’s “Local Enterprise Week 2023”. In conjunction with the launch of Local Enterprise Week, Minister Coveney also launched the first edition of “Business Development in Cork: An Entrepreneur’s Guide 2023” prepared by the Local Enterprise Office Cork City.

The booklet is a snapshot of all entrepreneurial and business-related supports available in Cork City and County and the publication aims to assist entrepreneurs and businesses in Cork to navigate the wide range of financial and non-financial supports available at the various stages of business development.

Sean Lotty, Enterprise Executive at the Local Enterprise Cork City said that “This booklet is essentially a baseline analysis of all the business and entrepreneurial supports available across Cork City and County and I am sure will be of great use to anyone who is seeking to start or grow a business. The booklet will also allow all of the organisations that assist entrepreneurs and businesses in Cork to be more aware of all the supports available and be able to better signpost their clients to relevant supports.  At a strategic level, the booklet serves as an opportunity to take stock of what is on offer to entrepreneurs and businesses, identify gaps and explore opportunities for the development of new supports.
