
Works Extent
The Project consisted of the construction of a variety measures which are designed to better facilitate cycling and walking along Knapp’s Square and Lower Johns Street (from Camden Quay at the southern end to Upper John Street and Cathedral Walk at the northern end). In addition, an upgrade the public realm in the vicinity of Saint John Villas and Curry’s Rock was included.
Cycle ramps were also constructed to the existing steps on Marys Lane and Bob & Joan’s Walk to provide cycle connectivity between Lower John Street and the Shandon area.

Timeline
The works were funded by the NTA and McGinty were appointed as Contractors for the project. Substantial completion was achieved in November 2023.
