Works Extent

The scheme involves the design and construction of a new link road over the Ballybrack Valley. The proposed link road will connect the R609 Carrigaline Road and the R851 Donnybrook Hill Road. The scheme will involve approximately 82m span bridge constructed at height over the Ballybrack Valley, upgrading of the Donnybrook Hill and Grange Road junction from a T junction to a 4-way junction and the creation of a new T junction on the Carrigaline Road with the new bridge.

Objectives

  • Improve the connectivity between the Maryborough Hill area and Frankfield / Grange and will provide improved access between the new residential estates on Maryborough Hill with the primary schools in Douglas.
